What happens if my invite link doesn’t work?

Here’s what to check.

If you receive a Buenro group invite by WhatsApp or SMS and the link doesn’t open as expected, don’t worry — there are a few common reasons this can happen.


1. The Group is Already Full

  • If all rooms have been claimed, the invite link will no longer allow new members to join.

  • In this case, you’ll see that the booking is closed and you won’t be able to enter.


2. The Invite Has Expired

  • Some invites expire if the group didn’t confirm within the set timeframe.

  • If this happens, the link won’t open the group page. You’ll need to ask the Curator for a new invite.


3. The Curator Cancelled the Group

  • If the Curator cancels before the booking is confirmed, all invite links tied to that group stop working.

  • You can double-check with the Curator to see if another booking is being created.


4. You Don’t Have the App Installed (Yet)

  • Invite links open inside the Buenro app.

  • If you tap a link without having the app, you’ll first be taken to a landing page to download it.

  • After installing, the app will take you to the Group page if the invite is still valid.


5. Technical Issues

  • If the invite should still be valid but isn’t working, try:

    • Updating your Buenro app to the latest version.

    • Opening the link again after closing the app.

    • Checking your phone’s default browser settings (some links may open incorrectly in certain browsers).

  • If none of these work, contact Support via the Help tab and include a screenshot of the error.
