How do I approve or remove guests from my group?

As a Curator, you have control over who joins your group. You can approve guests who want to join and remove members if plans change.

This article explains how to manage your group step by step.


1. Approving Guests

When someone joins your group:

  • You’ll see their request in the House Dashboard

  • Pending guests appear under the “Invited” list

  • As Curator, you can confirm their spot by approving them

Once approved:

  • Their card is authorised (not yet charged)

  • Their place in the group is secured

  • The group moves closer to confirmation


2. Removing Guests Before Booking is Confirmed

If your group is still pending (not fully paid/confirmed):

  • You can remove a Pending Guest → they’re removed silently without notification

  • You can remove a Joined Guest → they are notified their spot has been cancelled

  • Guests can also remove their own +1s

This makes space for someone else to join during the 7-day window.


3. After the Booking is Confirmed

Once the booking is confirmed:

The group is locked

  • The Curator cannot remove guests

  • If someone can’t travel, they (or the Curator) must cancel according to the property’s cancellation policy

  • Refunds, if any, follow the cancellation policy


Tips for Curators

Keep your group informed through in-app chat when changes happen

  • Replace removed guests quickly during the 7-day pending window to avoid losing momentum

  • Plan carefully before confirming the final spots — after confirmation, changes require cancellation per policy
