If you are having trouble connecting to the live feed, (constant buffering or a black screen), but all other aspects of Cammy are working, there are a few steps to try before contacting us.
Restart your Windows desktop app
Using the X in the top right hand corner of the desktop app, click to close the desktop app.
Reopen the desktop app by clicking on the Cammy icon on your desktop.
Check your live feed again to see if a feed now appears.
Restart Cammy Windows Hub
Head to the "Services" area of your PC. This can be found by typing "Services" into the search bar at the bottom left hand side of your machine home screen or check your "Windows Administrative Tools" folder for "Services".
Open up "Services" and scroll down until you find "Cammy Windows Hub". Right click on Cammy Windows Hub and then select "Restart". After a few minutes, return to your Windows desktop app to see if you now have a Live Feed.
Restart the Camera
Power cycle the affected camera by turning off or removing the power to the camera momentarily.
Reconnect the camera to power and wait a few minutes before checking the live feed again.
Restart the Router
Unplug your router from the power, or switch the power off at the wall.
Reconnect the power to the router after a few minutes.
Wait 5 minutes and check your live feed again.
Restart your PC
If you still have no live feed from your cameras, carry out a full restart of your PC. To do this head to the "Windows icon" πͺ on the navigation bar of your desktop.
Click the "Power" icon in the bottom right hand corner.
Select "Restart".
Once the PC has restarted, reopen the desktop app by clicking on the Cammy icon on your desktop. Once open, check to see if the live feed has now connected.
π¨οΈ If you have tried all of the above steps but your live feed is still not connecting, please reach out to one of the team via the contact us page, or live chat available on the desktop app, website and mobile app.
