Important: Inside CampusKnot only course administrators can take attendance
Attendance is an early indicator of a student’s success. Attending class helps students retain material better, score higher on tests, and invest more in academic success. Inside CampusKnot, you can:
Take Attendance
Navigate to the Attendance tab
Select 'Take Attendance'
3. Select how long each individual code can run. We recommend staying within 20-25 seconds.
4. Click on 'Start' & allow the code to run for a few minutes
5. You'll start seeing the number next to 'active members' increase as users check-in for the day
Edit or View a Student's Attendance
You can edit a student's attendance if you click on the square box inside 'Access Attendance Logs' under the Attendance tab
2. Search for the student's name and hover over the student's attendance for the day.
3. You can select one of these options:
Mark as absent
Mark as present
Mark as excused absent
Mark as late
4. Before changing the student(s) record(s), click on 'Save.' If you don't click on 'Save,' no changes will be made to the student(s) record(s).
View the daily number of 'actively engaged' students
Track the number of actively engaged students per class, by opening the attendance logs.
Below the date and time, you'll find the number of active users for the day versus the number of course members.
This number will only be visible after attendance has ended.
Add or Remove an Attendance
Visit the 'Access Attendance Logs' section
Click on the 'Add Previous Attendance' button. Located at the top right corner of the attendance tab
3. Input the date and time to add attendance for
4. Make sure you select one of the options below the date and time section "Mark all students as present, excused absence, late, or absent'
5. Make sure you select 'Save' and refresh your browser to see the updated new attendance.
