What does my match percentage mean?

Learn what your match percentage means on Candid, how it’s calculated and how factors like salary, location, experience and culture fit affect your job matches.

Your match percentage is based on a few things.

But they all make up how closely your preferences, culture score and experience align with a company and what they're looking for.

This includes things like:

👩🏻‍🍳Role type (if you’re already in a similar role)

💰Salary expectations (how closely your desired salary matches what they company is offering)

📍Location

📚Experience (what you’ve told us you currently do day to day)

Lastly, your Culture Score.. the company actually do one on their side so this is how we match the cultures.

The higher the percentage, the stronger the overall alignment but it’s not the only thing that matters.

A slightly lower match doesn’t mean it’s not worth exploring. If a role looks interesting to you, it’s always worth starting a conversation and seeing where it goes!
