🔐 Resetting Passwords for Your Users

Creating a password for your learners

We suggest encouraging users to learn how to reset their own passwords

  • They just need to click “Forgot your password on the login page to get started. *Make sure they use the email they have registered in Carebility- that is how we identify users

If you simply want to reset the password for them so they can jump right into learning...

  1. Go to the Reports-Users section in Carebility.

  2. Select the appropriate Provider/Facility.

  3. Find the user — users are listed alphabetically.

  4. Click the Actions icon (look for this symbol.)

  5. You’ll see a prompt asking how you’d like to proceed. You can choose to send a password reset email to the user (this works the same as clicking Forgot Password), or select Set Temporary Password.

  6. If you choose Set Temporary Password, you can either create a password manually or select the magic wand icon to generate one automatically.

Be sure to copy the password by clicking the copy (stacked papers) icon and send it to the user.

The user must log in using this exact password, so copying it correctly is important.

🔒

Reminder:
Note: This is a temporary password. When the learner logs in, they’ll be prompted to create a new password for security.

*If your user belongs to more than one organization, the password reset option will not be available, and the user will need to reset their own password
