How To Edit Your Profile On The Carebility App

Update your personal information, profile photo, and contact details in the Carebility app.

Note: Some profile fields may be managed by your organization (for example, through an HR system). If you can’t edit certain information, contact your administrator for help.


What You Can Edit

On the Profile Editor screen, you can update:

  • Profile photo – Add or change the picture shown on your account

  • First name and Last name – Your official name

  • Preferred name – The name you want others to see and use

  • Title – Your job title or position

  • Secondary email – An additional email for notifications

  • Work phone – Your business phone number


How to Open the Profile Editor

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom menu (gear icon)

  2. Tap your profile card at the top of the screen (your name and photo)

  3. The Profile Editor screen will open

On Android

  1. Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap your profile card at the top of the screen

  4. The Profile Editor screen will open


Changing Your Profile Photo

Your profile photo helps personalize your account and makes it easier for others to recognize you.

Add or change your photo

  1. On the Profile Editor screen, tap the camera icon or your current photo

  2. Choose a photo from your device’s photo library

  3. The new photo will appear (it is not saved yet)

  4. Tap Save in the top right corner

Remove your photo

  1. Tap the X or clear button near your current photo

  2. Confirm that you want to remove it

  3. Tap Save in the top right corner

Tip: Use a clear, professional photo where your face is visible.


Editing Your Name and Other Fields

Update your information

  1. Tap the field you want to edit

  2. Delete the existing text and enter the new information

  3. Repeat for other fields as needed

  4. Tap Save in the top right corner

Field descriptions

  • First Name – Your given name (required)

  • Last Name – Your family or surname (required)

  • Preferred Name – A nickname or name you go by (optional). This name appears in greetings throughout the app.

  • Title – Your job title, such as Nurse or Caregiver (optional)

  • Secondary Email – An additional email address for notifications (optional)

  • Work Phone – Your business phone number (optional). This will auto-format as you type.


Changing Your Email Address

If your organization allows email updates:

  1. Look for the Change link next to your company email

  2. Tap it to open the Change Email screen

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

Note: If you do not see a Change option, your email may be managed through an HR system. Contact your administrator for help.


Changing Your Password

If password changes are enabled for your account:

  1. Tap the Change link next to the Password field

  2. Follow the prompts to set a new password

Note: If you do not see this option, your organization may use single sign-on (SSO). Contact your administrator for assistance.


Saving Your Changes

After making updates:

  1. Tap Save in the top right corner

  2. The Save button is only active if changes were made

  3. Wait for the confirmation message

  4. The screen will close automatically once saved

Important: If you exit without saving, your changes will be lost.


Troubleshooting

Save button is grayed out

  • Make sure you’ve changed at least one field

  • Confirm First Name and Last Name are filled in

Error: “Profile update failed”

  1. Check your internet connection

  2. Confirm all required fields are completed

  3. Verify secondary email format (example: name@email.com)

  4. Wait a few seconds and try again

  5. Close and reopen the app if needed

Profile photo won’t upload

  • Confirm Carebility has access to your photos in device settings

  • Try a different photo or a smaller file

  • Check your internet connection

Some fields are not editable

  • These fields may be managed by your organization’s HR system

  • Contact your administrator to request changes


Important Notes

  • Required fields: First Name and Last Name

  • Auto-formatting: Phone numbers format automatically

  • Privacy: Profile information is only visible within your organization

  • Synced data: If your organization uses an HR system, some fields may automatically update from that system
