How to Add Casa Loyalty to Your Shopify POS Smart Grid
Overview:
You can add Casa Loyalty directly to your Point of Sale (POS) Smart Grid so your in-store staff can access loyalty features — like enrolling customers, checking balances, and applying rewards — without leaving the checkout screen.
Step 1: Open the POS Smart Grid Editor
From your Shopify Admin, go to Point of Sale in the left-hand sidebar. Hover over the Point of Sale menu item and click the pencil (edit) icon that appears next to it.
Step 2: Select Your Smart Grid Page
This opens the Smart Grid editor. On the left, you'll see your Smart grid template and the pages within it (e.g. Page 1). Click on the page you want to edit to expand it and see its current tiles.
Step 3: Click "Add Tile"
With your page expanded, you'll see the tiles already on that page (e.g. Add custom sale, Apply discount, Add staff to sale). Click Add tile at the bottom of the tile list.
Step 4: Choose "Embedded Apps"
A menu will appear with several tile types: Action, Link, Fee, Discount, Product, Collection, Fulfilment, and Embedded Apps. Select Embedded Apps — this is where third-party apps like Casa Loyalty appear.
Step 5: Select Casa Loyalty
In the Embedded Apps list, click on Casa Loyalty to see the tile options available from the app.
Step 6: Choose the Right Tile Type
Casa Loyalty offers two different tile types — pick the one that matches what you want your staff to see:
Casa Loyalty (App link) — Tapping this tile takes staff directly into the full Casa Loyalty app, opening its main interface within POS. Use this if you want quick, full access to the app's features (customer lookup, points adjustments, program details, etc.).
Casa Loyalty POS Extension (POS UI extension) — This tile displays a customer's points balance, available rewards, and redemption information directly within the smart grid, without needing to open the full app. Use this if you want staff to see and act on a customer's loyalty status at a glance during checkout.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
Once you've selected your preferred tile, click Save in the top-right corner of the editor to apply the change to your POS Smart Grid.
