What this integration does
Once connected, customers will earn loyalty points for verified product reviews submitted through Yotpo. This encourages more reviews, builds trust with future shoppers, and drives repeat purchases — all without any manual work on your end.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
A Yotpo account with the Yotpo Reviews app installed on your Shopify store
Yotpo Reviews actively collecting reviews on your store (the integration won't do much good if reviews aren't flowing in yet!)
Access to your Yotpo dashboard to retrieve your API credentials
Don't have a Yotpo account yet? You can create one here and install Yotpo Reviews on Shopify before continuing.
Step 1: Open the Yotpo integration in Casa Loyalty
From your Shopify admin, go to Casa Loyalty.
In the left-hand menu, click Integration.
Select Yotpo from the list of available integrations.
You'll see an overview explaining that connecting Yotpo lets customers earn points for verified reviews.
Step 2: Get your Yotpo API credentials
You'll need three pieces of information from Yotpo: your Account ID, App ID, and App Secret.
Click Create Yotpo Account (if you're new to Yotpo) or log in to your existing account.
Once logged in, click your store name in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.
In the left sidebar, under Store Settings, click General Settings.
Here you'll find:
Your account ID — copy this value
API Credentials → App Key — copy this value (this is your App ID)
To get your App Secret, click Get secret key.
Yotpo will email a verification code to the address on your account.
Check your inbox for an email from Yotpo Team, copy the code, paste it into the Enter code field on the Yotpo settings page, and click Submit.
A Your secret key popup will appear. Click Copy to clipboard to copy your App Secret.
Tip: Keep this tab open (or paste these three values into a notes doc) — you'll need all three in the next step.
Step 3: Connect Yotpo to Casa Loyalty
Head back to the Casa Loyalty → Integration → Yotpo page.
Enter your credentials into the matching fields:
Account ID
App ID (your Yotpo App Key)
App Secret (the secret key you just copied)
Click Connect to Yotpo.
Once connected, you'll see a confirmation message:
✅ "Your Yotpo account is connected. Customers will now earn points for leaving reviews."
You'll also notice a Disconnect button appears, which you can use at any time to unlink the integration.
Step 4: Set up your earning rule
Connecting the accounts links the two apps, but you still need to turn on the actual points reward:
In Casa Loyalty, go to your Earning Rules settings.
Enable the "Write a Review" rule.
Set how many points customers should earn per verified review.
Once this is turned on, customers will automatically receive loyalty points for every verified review they submit through Yotpo.
Troubleshooting
Credentials not working? Double check you copied the App Key (not the App Secret) into the App ID field — they're easy to mix up.
Didn't receive the verification email? Check your spam folder, or make sure you're checking the inbox tied to your Yotpo account login.
Customers aren't earning points? Confirm the "Write a Review" earning rule is enabled in Casa Loyalty, and that Yotpo Reviews is actively set up and collecting reviews on your store.
