How to Manually Adjust a Customer's Points Balance

Sometimes you need to change a customer's points yourself, for example to add bonus points as goodwill, fix a missed order, or remove points awarded by mistake. You can do this from any customer's profile in Casa Loyalty.

Steps

1. Open the Customers page

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Casa Loyalty → Customers.

2. Find the customer

Search for the customer by name, or use the filter tabs (such as Member or Has points) to narrow the list.

3. Open their profile

Click the customer's name to open their profile. The Customer Balance card on the right side of the page shows their current points total.

4. Click "Adjust balance"

In the Customer Balance card, click Adjust balance. A window titled Adjust customer point balance will open.

5. Enter the adjustment

  • Points adjustment: Enter the number of points to change.

    • To add points, enter a positive number (for example, 500).

    • To subtract points, enter a negative number (for example, -500).

  • Reason for adjustment: Add a short note explaining the change (for example, "Goodwill points for delayed order"). This note is for internal use only, and customers can't see it.

6. Check the new balance and confirm

The New Balance line at the bottom of the window shows what the customer's total will be after the change. Check that it's correct, then click Adjust points.

Tips

  • Always add a reason. It makes it easy to understand past changes later.

  • Check the New Balance preview before confirming, especially when subtracting points.

  • Review the Points tab. The Activity → Points tab on the customer's profile shows their points history.
