What are custom templates?
Custom templates allow you to create sections that you want ChatPRD to adhere to. Once you save your custom template, ChatPRD will always generate PRDs following that template, without requiring you to do any prompt engineering.
When should I use custom templates?
Custom templates are great when you work at an organization that likes PMs to create consistent PRDs. It's also great if you have specific preferences on how PRDs are structured.
Who can use custom templates?
Anyone on a Pro plan can use custom templates.
How can I set up custom templates?
Go to account settings and click on the Customize tab. From there, select "Add Your Own Template" and simply add titles and descriptions. Once you are done, click Save.
How are custom templates different from the other templates in the template library?
The template library provides you with best-in-class pre-populated templates that you can use if your organization does not have a standard template to adhere to. The default templates in the template library are available to users on both basic and pro plans.
