TimeTiles™ ensure that employees are at the job site when they scan the location TimeTile™.

But you may see issue tiles indicating "Bypassed TimeTile" or "Auto-bypassed TimeTile."

What do these messages mean?

Bypassed TimeTile

  1. The person hit the clock-in button, got the scan popup, and canceled.

  2. They clicked the box "I can't scan the TimeTile."

  3. They typed a reason for not scanning the TimeTile.

You can see on Dennis' time card timeline that he bypassed TimeTile at clock-out and his reason. And if his GPS is enabled, you can see the location of his clock-out.

Auto-bypassed TimeTile

The system detected the employee's phone was not NFC capable, and they never got the scan popup. Most phones are NFC-enabled, but a few less expensive Androids are not. This is a reminder to change their setting to Disable TimeTile requirements.

Go to People > select the person > on the Profile tab > select Clock In Settings > check the box to 'Disable TimeTile requirements to clock in and out from the app' > Save.

Note: The employee Profile has a Troubleshooting screen that shows whether their phone is NFC capable. (You can also see their other settings here.)
