We’re moving all schools to the new ClassCover experience from 4 November 2025.
For the past year, schools have been able to switch back and forth between the old and new versions of ClassCover (desktop version). This was part of our BETA phase, where your feedback has helped us refine the design and make improvements. Thank you to everyone who has taken part and shared suggestions.
What’s changing
The new ClassCover desktop experience is a refreshed interface with a cleaner, easier-to-use design. It’s the same ClassCover you already know, with the same tools and workflows your school relies on every day, just refreshed to feel simpler and more modern.
Why we’re making this change
This update allows us to:
Deliver a cleaner layout and easier navigation.
Make room for new improvements that schools have been asking for.
Ensure that all schools are using the same version moving forward.
This is a refresh of the ClassCover layout. Everything you rely on is still there, just presented in a simpler way.
What this means for your school
From the 4th of November, the old version of ClassCover will no longer be available.
All schools will automatically use the new ClassCover experience.
The features you use remain the same, the design has been updated.
Get ready by switching to the new ClassCover experience now
To switch to the new experience, login to your account and locate the banner at the top of the page. From here you can switch to the new experience.
If you can’t see it, try logging out and logging back in or refreshing the page.
Between now and 4 November, you can keep switching between the old and new versions. After this date, the old version will be retired.
Feedback
Have feedback you’d like to share? We’re running 30-minute sessions with our Product Manager where you can walk through your experience and gather feedback. You’ll be able to choose a time that suits you, and your input will directly shape how ClassCover improves.

What's next
This refresh is for the desktop version of ClassCover only. Stay tuned for a new school mobile app release with an updated look and feel. This is currently being worked on.
