If you’re not receiving push notifications from ClassCover on your iPhone, there are a few settings that might need to be adjusted. Here are some quick troubleshooting steps to ensure you receive push notifications.
Check Do Not Disturb Mode is OFF
The Do Not Disturb feature silences all calls, texts, and alerts, including notifications from apps like ClassCover. To ensure you receive booking notifications through ClassCover, make sure this feature is turned off.
How to Turn Off Do Not Disturb from your Control Centre (for iOS 15 and iPad iOS 15 or later):
Swipe down from the top right corner of your Home Screen to open the Control Centre.
Tap the Focus button where the Do Not Disturb crescent moon icon appears. If you don’t see the moon icon, Do Not Disturb is off.
Tap Do Not Disturb to toggle the feature on or off.
You can also ask Siri to turn Do Not Disturb on or off for you.
If you have Share Across Devices enabled in your Focus settings, a notification will appear on your other Apple devices when Do Not Disturb is activated or deactivated.
Allow Notifications for ClassCover
iOS allows you to manage notifications on a per-app basis. Ensure that notifications are enabled for ClassCover.
How to Enable Notifications for ClassCover:
Go to Settings > Notifications.
Scroll down and select ClassCover.
Ensure the switch next to Allow Notifications is turned on (it should appear green).
Make sure the following alert styles are selected: Lock Screen, Notification Centre, and Banners. This will help ensure you don't miss any future booking notifications.
Confirm Wi-Fi or Mobile Data Connection
A stable internet connection is necessary for receiving push notifications. If your iPhone is disconnected or has a weak signal, notifications may not appear.
Solution: Check your network status in the Control Centre or Settings and ensure you have a strong, stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
Additional Tips to Ensure you Receive Push Notifications
Keep iOS and ClassCover Updated
Ensure your iPhone's Operating System (iOS) and the ClassCover app are up to date. Updates often include fixes and improvements that support reliable notifications.
How to Check for iOS Updates:
Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
How to Update ClassCover:
Log out of the ClassCover app, uninstall it, then reinstall the latest version from the App Store.
Network Speed Considerations
