Operator Responsibilities:

Primary Tasks:

  • Accept and process jobs

  • Update job status through workflow

  • Record service steps and timestamps

  • Communicate status updates

Available Actions:

1. Job Management

  • View assigned and available jobs

  • Move jobs through workflow stages

  • Record service completion times

  • Add service notes

2. Job Status Workflow:

  • Waiting in Line β†’ In Progress β†’ Ready for Pickup β†’ Picked Up

  • Each transition records timestamp

  • Service steps marked as complete

3. View Details

  • Customer information

  • Vehicle details

  • Service requirements

  • Payment status

4. Edit Permissions

  • Can edit service package (if needed)

  • Can edit job price (manager approval may be required)

  • Can add job notes

Limitations:

  • Cannot process payments

  • Cannot access financial reports

  • Cannot modify customer data

  • Cannot manage staff/branches
