A one-time moderation run checks a set of assets you choose, once, against the rules or policies you select. It's the way to review existing content in bulk - and the recommended way to try Moderation for the first time.
When to use this
Reviewing an existing folder, or campaign batch before it goes live.
Auditing older content against new brand guidelines.
Testing a new rule or policy on a sample of assets before using it in an automation.
Before you start
Have at least one active rule ready (or a policy), you can also use one of our starter-pack rules.
Make sure you have enough Moderation Actions available - each asset is checked by each selected rule, and each check uses quota. You can see your balance in Settings.
Tip: Give your moderation run a meaningful name so you can find it later easily. You can rename a run later from Moderation Runs (row menu > Rename).
Steps
Click the Run Moderation button.
Choose One-time moderation.
Step 1 - Select Assets:
Choose Images or Videos at the top. A run checks one asset type at a time; switching clears your current selection.
Browse your folders, or use the search to find assets by filename, asset ID, or an expression.
Select assets to review.
Step 2 - Select Rules:
Tick the rules you want to apply. If you prefer, switch to policies and pick a saved policy instead - the run then applies all the rules in that policy.
Select Done to start moderating.
Tip: If you plan to repeat the same review regularly, save your rules as a policy so the setup is one click next time.
If you don't have enough Moderation Actions for the run, you'll see a "Not Enough Moderation Actions" message with the amount required versus available. Reduce the number of assets or rules, or contact support to increase your limit.
What happens next
The run page opens and shows progress while assets are being checked (for example, "Moderating 45 of 100").
The run also appears under Moderation Runs with the status Running, then Processed when it completes.
When it's done you'll see a summary of how many assets were ✅ Approved,
❌ Rejected, or 🚩 Needs review, and you can open the run to review asset by asset.Nothing is written back to your assets automatically unless you've turned on automatic metadata saving in Settings.
Small runs with a couple of rules usually finish within minutes. Video runs and large batches take noticeably longer - see "Why is my moderation run still processing?"
