Ongoing moderation checks content automatically, without anyone starting a run. You set it up once - choosing what should trigger a check, what to watch, and which rules to apply - and from then on, matching assets are moderated as they arrive. In the app, each ongoing setup is called an automation.
When to use this
New content keeps arriving (uploads from teams, agencies, or users) and every asset should be checked.
You want brand or quality standards enforced in real time, not in periodic clean-ups.
You've already tested your rules with one-time runs and trust how they behave.
Before you start
Ongoing moderation must be enabled for your account (Pro feature).
Have your rules ready - ideally saved as a policy, so the same standard is easy to reuse and update.
Decide which folder(s) or tags define the content you want watched.
Steps
Click the Run Moderation button and choose Ongoing moderation.
Select Trigger - choose what should start a check, and what to watch:
On upload - moderate new assets as they're uploaded into selected folders.
On tag applied - moderate assets when specific tags are added to them.
Structured metadata - moderate assets when their structured metadata matches criteria you define.
Choose the asset type (Images or Videos) and define the scope for your trigger - the folders to watch, the tags, or the metadata condition.
Select Rules - pick the rules to enforce, or switch to policies and select a saved policy.
Review & Confirm - check the configuration, and confirm to activate the automation.
What happens next
The automation appears under Automations with the status Active - it shows Processing… % while it's checking newly arrived assets.
As matching assets arrive, they're checked automatically, and results accumulate on the automation's results page - open it any time to review, filter, and make manual decisions, just like a one-time run.
Each check uses Moderation Actions from your quota, the same way one-time runs do.
Managing an automation
From Automations, use the row menu to:
Review assets - open the automation's results.
Automation details - see its status, trigger & scope, and rules in a side panel.
Rename it, or Copy job URL to share it.
Stop it.
If assets are still waiting in the queue, you'll be asked how to proceed: Finish queued assets, then stop, or Stop immediately, do not process queued assets.Delete it.
If you later edit a rule or policy that a running automation uses, the automation will be stopped and restarted to apply your changes - and that restarted automation processes only new assets going forward.
