You can share payment details between members in Clubworx if you are using Ezidebit as your payment processor.

Clubworx now allows you to easily share one payment method (whether that is a bank account, credit or debit card) between multiple members in your Clubworx account. This makes it simple to set up families and add or remove members from the shared payment setup as needed.

How does it work?

Your member's payment details are still added to the wallet on their profile as before. However, when adding a payment method there is now an option to add a new one or to use the payment method of an existing member in the system.

As an example, we have set up a non-attending contact Jane Doe with payment details. She has a family relationship set up in Clubworx with her son, Jeremy Doe. Jane is also married to John Doe, who has a daughter, Jennie Doe.

Step 1. Add the payment method owner's (in this example it is Jane Doe) payment method in their wallet.

Step 2.
Navigate to the next member in the family (Jeremy Doe) and click on add payment method link under their wallet section on their profile. Here you will see that you can either add a new payment method, or you can now choose to 'Use a family member's payment method instead'. See below.

The screen for linking the payment method provides the options of linking to an existing family member or any other existing contact with a registered payment method by searching for the contact in the field provided.

In this example, we choose the family member Jane Doe. As a result, Jeremy now share's Jane's payment method so, any payments generated for Jeremy will be processed on Jane's payment method. This is represented in Jeremy's wallet as below:

When a contact does not have any family relationships added to their profile (in this example, Jennie Doe), only the search option is presented when linking the payment method.

Step 1. Navigate to the member who is not related to any other family members (Jennie Doe) and click on add payment method link under their wallet section on their profile. Here you will see that you can either add a new payment method, or you can now choose to 'Use a family member's payment method instead'. See below.

When a contact does not have any relationships added to their profile, only the search option is presented when linking the payment method.

Once the family member has been selected, you will be able to add the relationship from the same screen if necessary.

When viewing the payments of a contact who is sharing a wallet, a 'Family Payments' button will now display in the top right of the payment list. You can click through to see a payment list that shows all payments across all members who share a payment method.

Please note, if there are payments for individual members in the family that occur on the same day, while these display separately in Clubworx, these will be submitted as a bundled, single payment to Ezidebit but still display separately through Clubworx.

So for example, if both Jeremy and John Doe have payments due on the 3rd of February ($6.50 and $100 respectively) then there will be one payment of $106.50 that is processed through Ezidebit. This means less transactions for both you and your members!
