What is Health Connect?
Health Connect is Android's built-in system for sharing health and fitness data between apps. Coachway uses Health Connect to receive data from apps like Garmin Connect, Fitbit, Samsung Health, and others.
The easy way: the Enable button
If you see a pop-up with an Enable button on your home screen in the Coachway app, tap it - it takes you straight into Health Connect so you can give permission in seconds. The steps below are for setting it up manually or fixing it later.
Setting It Up Manually
On newer Android phones, Health Connect is built into the Settings. On older versions, you may need to install it separately.
Open Settings on your Android phone
Search for Health Connect
If it is not installed, download it from the Google Play Store
Open Health Connect and follow the setup steps
Under “Permissions and data", you need to grant permission to the apps you want to share data between - for example Garmin Connect, Fitbit, and Coachway

Connecting your watch or fitness app
Make sure the brand's own app is set to sync with Health Connect - then Coachway picks the data up automatically. On Android this is also how Fitbit and Samsung Health connect. Any watch or app that can write to Health Connect works with Coachway.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find Health Connect in my settings
On older Android versions it may not be pre-installed. Search for "Health Connect" in the Google Play Store and install it from there.
My data is not syncing
Check that both your fitness app (e.g. Garmin) and Coachway have permissions enabled in Health Connect. Open Health Connect → App permissions and verify both apps are listed and active.
