Summary
When you are creating a project, you specify an overall project area. This area carries over to the components page and appears on top to help you visualize if the components cover the entire area.
Components are of two types. Some affect the overall project GSF and some don't. This is specified at the bottom of each component card. If you make a change to a component that does not affect the overall GSF, the slider on top of the page does not move. In other terms, this component's area is not calculated as part of the total.
However, if you make a change to a component area with this option selected, it will affect the total calculation.
If you specify a component area that leads to a total area greater than what you specified in the project details, you will get this warning.
This warning will also appear on the project's details page. And here you have two options to select from based on your specific project needs. Either update the area in the project details or dismiss this change.
If you dismiss the warning, you can always come back to it by clicking on the exclamation point and decide to update the area.
