Understanding the Customers Tab in the Corksy POS

This article provides an overview of the Customers tab in the Corksy POS. While it includes core customer details, it offers fewer features than the Corksy Admin Portal. For most customer maintenance, we recommend using the Admin Portal.

Searching for Customers

At the top of the Customers tab in the Corksy POS, you can search for a customer using any of the following:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number (if provided during account creation)

This helps quickly locate an existing customer to view or edit their profile.

Columns

When viewing the Customers tab in POS, you’ll see the following columns:

  • Name: Displays the customer’s full name.

    • Note: Sorting is not available in the POS view.

  • Contact: Shows the customer’s email address and, if provided, their phone number.

  • Orders: Indicates how many orders the customer has placed.

  • Average Order Value: The average dollar amount per order based on their purchase history.

  • Actions: Includes options to:

    • Edit customer

    • View customer details

    • Assign to a wine club

Using Filters in the Customers Tab

You can apply several filters in the POS to help manage and segment your customer list. These filters are more limited than those in the Admin Portal but still allow basic sorting.

1. Payment Method Filter

  • All (default)

  • Active: Customers with a card on file

  • Inactive: Customers without a saved payment method

This filter is helpful when reviewing wine club billing eligibility or managing customer payment info.

2. Customer Type Filter

  • All

  • Account: Customer has registered for a Corksy account

  • Guest: Customer checked out without creating an account

  • Wine Club: Customers who are wine club members

  • Other: Additional customer classifications

3. Password Status Filter

  • All

  • Completed: Customer has signed up through the eCommerce site and created a password

  • Incomplete: Customer has not completed eCommerce sign-up
