Set Inventory During Product Creation

  1. When creating a new product (e.g., a wine), scroll to the bottom of the creation form.

  2. Enter your initial inventory quantity.

    • Example: Set to 100 units for a new SKU.

  3. Save the product.

Note: This inventory field is only available during initial product setup.

Why Inventory Fields Lock After Saving

  • Once a product is saved, the inventory field becomes grayed out.

  • This is intentional—Corksy now tracks inventory by location, not globally.

  • Any numbers previously shown were generalized placeholders.

Ongoing Inventory Management

  1. Navigate to the Inventory tab.

  2. Use the search bar to locate your product (e.g., "Corksy Cabernet Sauvignon").

  3. Click Edit Inventory.

  4. Choose an action:

    • Add units

    • Subtract units

    • Set inventory to a specific total

  5. This is now the official source of truth for product inventory across locations.

Use this method for all ongoing updates to inventory levels.
