Watch the following video to learn about the headers and footer available on your website:
Headers
You have two website headers available to you on your CCK website: a main header as well as a secondary header. Having two headers allows you to create your main website navigation section as well as a navigation area shown only to your paid students.
Main Header
Your main website header is located at the top of your website page:
To access the settings for your header, hover over your header and click on Header Settings:
Here you will be able to update your Header Layout, change your Header Background Colour, add or remove a Border, change the placement of the header as well as the ability to fix your header when scrolling:
You are also able to add header-specific widgets to your website header. To do this, click on the + sign as indicated below and choose any of the multiple widgets available in the pop-up menu:
To add additional rows to the top or bottom of you header, click on one of the + signs as shown here:
If you want to add or remove website pages and submenu pages to your main header, click on the Edit Menu option when hovering over the main header:
In the pop-up menu, you can now add or remove website pages. To add a submenu page, simply drag the page below another page and move it to the right to slot it underneath the page:
Secondary Header
Activate your secondary or alternative header on any page by opening the settings for the page in question and selecting the option: Use the alternative header for this page.
Footer
When you scroll to the bottom of any page on your CCK website, you will see your footer area marked with the word 'FOOTER'. Next to it, you will see an arrow that is pointing downwards. This arrow is there to show you where your footer starts, and that everything below the arrow will be included in the footer of your website:
π‘ It is very important to remember that everything that has been added in the Footer area will show on all the pages of your website where you have your footer section visible.
Be careful not to accidentally drag any blocks or images into your footer area that you do not wish to show on every page of your website.
If you notice that you have accidentally added a block to your footer that should not be there, you can simply move it by hovering over the block and clicking on the upwards-facing arrow on the right-hand side of the screen:
Header & Footer Visibility
You can hide or show any header or footer on specific pages by hovering over the header or footer and selecting the Hide or Show options on the left:
π‘ When you hide your header or footer on a page, you are not hiding it on all pages. Individual pages need to have the header and footer hidden individually.
