Add a form widget

You can add the form widget from the widget menu within the builder under the Lead Generation section. Click and drag the form icon and drop it on the section of the page you are adding the form as shown below:

There are many different fields to choose from to add to your form as shown below:

A description of the field can be added to display on the form, here is an example:

Placeholder

Map to a CRM property

This is where you define where the submitted values in the form will be added within the contacts are, for example, the name field should be mapped to the Name property in the contacts area.

Add prefix icon

Here you can select an icon from a wide variety of options to be added as a prefix to the field placeholder

Required Field

You have the option to mark certain fields as optional so that they don't need to be completed in order for the form to be successfully submitted.

If a required field has not been completed, this will be shown once the submit button has been clicked.

Always mark the fields for Name and Email as required fields as this is required to create a contact within the Contacts area.

Update Settings

To update and customize the settings of the form, click on the gear icon in the editor menu:

Form Name

Here the name of the form can be updated so that you can easily identify which form has received a submission. This will be displayed in the email notification to you as well as on the contact card and messages section under contacts.

Thank you message

If you have selected the option to display a thank you message after submission, this is where you add the message that should be displayed.

Connect to Email Marketing

Select the list to which you would like to add the contact. We recommend only having one contact list and then organising contacts with the use of Tags and Segments.

Enable double opt-in

When double opt-in is enabled, the person that submitted the form will receive an email requesting them to confirm that they want to receive information from you. This also ensures that the correct email address has been submitted.

Tag contacts on new message

This tag will be added to the contact once they have submitted the form, for instance adding a Trigger tag for the contact to be added to an automation

Test the Form

We recommend testing the form to ensure that all the settings are added correctly. To test a form, click on the Eye icon in the builder menu and then click Show in new tab

💡 TIPS

Always test your forms to ensure that everything is working as it should.
