Adding a Program - Full Process
This process will walk you through an alternative method for adding Programs. This method is recommended if you’d like to start with your Program instead of with your Interaction Type. This is also the easiest way to complete adding your Program, Pages, Questions, and Publishing in one, smooth process.
#1. Add Your Program
STEP 1: From the left menu bar, hover over Interactions (Shaking Hands Icon) and select Programs.
STEP 2: Click Add next to Programs on the top left.
STEP 3: Name your Program.
STEP 4: Select an Interaction Type this Program falls under.
If you have not yet created an Interaction Type for this Program, you may create one by clicking Add A New Interaction Type.
STEP 5: If your chosen Interaction Type requires location, you will need to choose:
Visits Required: Number of visits required to be done for this store for this Program during the Program dates.
Restrict to Assigned Reps: Checking this box only allows users to perform the Program on doors to which they are assigned to.
STEP 6: Enter a Start and End Date for your program.
STEP 7: Click Save Program. You will receive a green confirmation banner at the top of your screen confirming your Program has been added. You will automatically be led to the Program management page.
#2. Add Your Page(s)
STEP 1: From the Program management page, scroll down to the Pages tab. Click Add.
STEP 2: Next to the title, add a name for your page.
This field will auto-populate with a title formatted [Name of Program] - Page 1, 2, etc. you can leave this if it’s sufficient or change it to something more specific based on how you’d like to organize your Program. Please note that page names will not display within the Visit App, only the number of pages.
STEP 3: Click Save Page. You will receive a green confirmation banner at the top of your screen that your page was created successfully. You will be automatically led to the Manage Page Questions screen to add your questions.
#3. Add Your Questions
STEP 1: From the manage page questions page, choose whether you want to add a new question or use previously added questions.
Adding a New Question
STEP 1: To add a new question, select Create a New Question for This Page.
STEP 2: Fill out the related fields:
Question Text: Enter Question Text.
Question Type: Select Your Question Type.
Parent Questions: A parent question links to a child question in order to receive additional information:
For example:
PARENT QUESTION: Was the cash drawer over, under, or correct?
CHILD QUESTION (only shows if answer is over or under): By how much?
For more information on setting up Parent/Child questions, please refer to the Parent/Child Question Guide.
Required: Yes will require the answer; no will not require an answer to be provided.
STEP 3: Click Save Question.
Adding an Existing Question
STEP 1: Next to Page Questions, click Manage Page Questions.
STEP 2: Locate the question you would like to add to the page and check the box in the Use column at the far right.
*Note that if you select a child question, the associated parent questions will automatically be selected.
STEP 3: To the left of the checkbox, choose whether you’d like the question to be required or not.
STEP 4: Repeat for any additional questions you want to add to the page.
STEP 5: Click Save Page Questions.
#4. Publish your Program
Note that your Program will not appear in the Visit App to be completed until it is published.
STEP 1: After you save your questions, you will be redirected to the Page management page. From here, return to the Program management page by clicking your Program’s name under Program.
STEP 2: Under Status, click the Publish button.
STEP 3: You will receive a green confirmation banner at the top of your screen confirming your Program has been published. The status will also appear as Published on the Programs page.
A published Program will appear in the Visit App for completion until it is either placed back into Pending or Closed status. A Program will also automatically be placed into a Closed status after its end date has passed.
