Third-Party Haulers Overview

Integrate trucks into your system that are not owned by your company.

Updated this week

The Third-Party Hauler feature is a specialized dispatching tool that lets external haulers manage their external fleets directly within the CRO ecosystem, allowing you to maintain full data visibility while keeping external operations distinct from your in-house workload.

How It Works

  1. Setup:

Add the specific trucks used by the third-party company to your CRO system. Make sure to set up the valid asset types, drivers, and trailers for these vehicles so haulers can dispatch jobs.

  2. Job Creation:
Create and manage jobs for these trucks just as you would for your own fleet.

  3. External Dispatching:
The third-party hauler logs into a dedicated hauling application. They will see a lightweight version of the Daily Truck List that only shows 3rd-party trucks. Unassigned jobs can be assigned to drivers, and drivers can be assigned to trucks. This is where having valid drivers and assets is key to smooth dispatching, reducing calls and manual work for the main dispatcher.

  4. Driver Execution:
Third-party drivers use the CRO Driver’s App to receive and complete their assigned tasks. This is the same app that is used by non-3rd-party haulers.

Key Benefits

Seamless Integration: Your core jobs do not change; only the truck assignment differs.

Unified View: For the main dispatcher, Third-party trucks appear on your Daily Truck List alongside your in-house fleet.

Easy Navigation: A Haulers checkbox on the left side of the Daily Truck List allows you to show or hide third-party trucks along side of your usual trucks.

Data Centralization: You continue to log all job and truck data within your own system for consolidated reporting.

Note: This feature must be authorized and enabled by the CRO Admin team.

We also offer 3rd-Party Hauler-Specific Training to walk them through how the Hauler App works. This can be accessed from the Haulers app or via the direct link below, which you can share with your 3rd Party Hauler.
