How do I add a Customer Location when there's no address?

Updated over 8 months ago

When adding a Customer Location, all addresses are run through Google Maps to ensure accuracy. Google Maps is the most used and most updated mapping system in the industry, and we are proud to have the ability to utilize their geolocation and street mapping services.

However, even the most robust map on the plant can't always be up-to-date. Furthermore, some locations will never have a street address, no matter what map you look for them on. So, in these instances, how do we set a Customer Location?

As always -- CRO has you covered! While on the Customer Accounts page, while you have the customer selected, you can click on the Globe Icon to bring up a clickable map.

Anywhere you click on this map will return the Latitude and Longitude for that location, which behaves just like a street address for your drivers. Their GPS units will lead them directly to the correct spot!

It's important to note, however, that GPS coordinates are exceptionally accurate; however, they're not always exact-to-the-square-foot. Therefore, if you ever notice that the bin location is off by a few feet, be sure to mention it in your Location Notes so that your driver can find them.

In the future, if you ever see this Globe Icon, you'll know what it's for!
