Signing and Storing the Will

Updated over 3 months ago

Unlike traditional wills, Crux online wills do not require witnesses. Once approved by our UK solicitors, your will becomes valid and legally compliant. You can store the approved version securely in Crux for reference or updates.

How to Sign Your Crux Will

Crux online wills follow a simplified process:

  1. You review and confirm your draft.

  2. Crux sends it to UK solicitors.

  3. Solicitors approve your will within 48 business hours.

  4. No physical signing, no witnesses required.

This makes Crux wills legally valid without printing, witnessing, or in-person appointments.

How to Store Your Approved Will

  1. Once the will is approved, it will appear in your account as your Official Will.

  2. You may download a copy for your personal records if needed.

  3. Crux stores your will securely using zero-knowledge architecture.

  4. Your nominees cannot access your will until after activation (death or verified incapacity).

Troubleshooting

  • My approved will is not showing in my account:
Wait up to 48 business hours for solicitor review.

  • I see an error reading the document:
Try downloading the PDF again or use another device.

  • My nominee says they can’t view the will:
Access is only granted after activation, never before.
