What hardware setup is required for Fanatic Filters video routing?

Fanatic Filters requires a specific video routing setup to function properly. You'll need a Blackmagic device (such as an up-down cross converter with HDMI and SDI) to output from the laptop, and a Magewell capture card to bring your camera feeds back into the laptop.

The recommended workflow creates a loop: the Blackmagic outputs from the laptop into your lower ME (mix effects bank), you cut your cameras on your upper ME, and the Magewell brings that camera feed back into the laptop.

The laptop displays the control interface for selecting filters, while a secondary monitor outputs the filtered video feed.

CUE provides the laptop with Fanatic Filters pre-installed; you'll need to provide the secondary monitor and integrate the video routing with your existing production switcher. This setup also works with Ross XPression Dashboard for triggering and integration.
