CUE's web-based Light Show only requires camera permission — microphone access is not necessary and can be disabled. The camera permission is required because the flashlight (torch) is technically part of the camera system on smartphones, and we need this access to control it. When fans scan the QR code and reach the Light Show page, they'll see a permission prompt. CUE can configure the permission flow to request only camera access and remove any reference to microphone access. This simplifies the onboarding experience for fans, builds trust, and reduces privacy concerns by making it clear we're only accessing their camera for flashlight control.
