CUE programs the Light Show to a specific track provided by the artist or event team. For artists performing with backing tracks, synchronization is straightforward since the song structure is predetermined and consistent. For live bands, CUE can still create effective Light Shows, but there are additional considerations: the programming needs to account for the fixed elements of the song structure. Songs where musicians might extend solos, change tempos, or improvise require careful track selection. The ideal scenario is choosing a song with a reliable backing track element that anchors the timing, even if live musicians are performing alongside it. CUE triggers the Light Show from the backend platform, and the operator simply needs to press play at the right moment — there are no MIDI triggers or audio triggers required from the venue's production system.
