Learn how to overwrite Front times to help plan your Episode and stay on track

The Front Time shows the estimated start time of each Part, Item or Block, and is based on the Episode's On Air Time plus the Estimated Duration of the previous Part, Item or Block.

E.g.: If the Episode's On Air time is 12:00:00, then the Front time of the first Part, Item and Block are all 12:00:00.
If the first Item, for example, has an Estimated Duration of 1 minute, then the Front time of the next Item would be 12:01:00.

Cuez automatically calculates the Front times throughout the Episode, based on the On Air time of the Episode (in the Episode header), as well as the Estimated Durations of the Parts, Items or Blocks.

The automatically calculated Front time of an Item can be overwritten with a custom value, which can be used to set a custom Front time for certain Items.

E.g.: An eSports event might have matches that need to start at a specific time, so you can overwrite the Front time to set those 'hit times'.

If we want to be sure that we start match 1 at 14:00, but according to the automatic calculations it would only start at 14:03, we can overwrite the Front time of the match Item to 14:00.

This causes the Front times of all other Items to automatically recalculate, and as a result shows when we should start each of our Items based on our manually overwritten values.

When overwriting the Front time of an Item, the Front times of the Items below will be recalculated and adjusted automatically as needed. The Front times of the Items above the overwritten one will not be adjusted, but will have their color change to red depending on whether or not they are 'valid'.

The original, automatically calculated Front time is shown in black or dark grey. Black when they are 'active', dark grey when they are 'inactive' (meaning that the Part that the Items are in, has a manually overwritten Estimated Duration).

The Front time of the Item that is overwritten with a manual value becomes blue.

Front times that result in a value that is no longer 'valid', meaning an Item would have to take place at a time after an upcoming Item's manually overwritten Front time, would be shown in red.
