Learn how to assign stories to one or more team members

Assigning a team member

When creating or viewing stories and sub stories, whether in your News Desk, Story Tray, and/or individual Publishing Points, you can assign them to yourself or someone in your team.

To do so, simply click the little 'user' icon or 'Add assignee' button that can be found in multiple locations:

  • In the bottom right corner of a story 'card' in the News Desk

  • In the bottom right corner of a sub story 'card' in the News Desk

  • In the heading when opening a story on the side

  • In the heading when opening a story in full screen

  • In the heading when opening a sub story from a full screen story

  • And more

Clicking the 'user' icon or 'Add assignee' button provides a searchable list of all users in your Storiez organization, so you can either select the user(s) you want to assign to the (sub) story, or search for them first to then select them.

Unassigning a team member

To unassign a team member from a (sub) story, you can follow the same steps as when assigning. The list of users that appears will now allow you to click the 'x' next to a person's name te remove them from the assigned team members.
