Settings - Automations

Automations help you save time and keep your events moving by automatically triggering actions when key milestones happen in your workflow. Instead of manually updating event stages or sending emails, Curate can handle it for you.

How to Access Automations

To get started:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Automations

  3. +Add automation

This will open the Automations panel on the right-hand side of your screen.

Creating an Automation

Each automation follows a simple When this happens → Do this structure.

Automation Settings

When creating or editing an automation, you’ll see the following options:

  • Automation Name
Give your automation a clear name so it’s easy to recognize later (e.g. Move Event to Booked After Payment).

  • Enable / Disable Toggle
Use the toggle to turn the automation on or off at any time.

  • Description (Optional)
Add notes about what the automation does or when it should be used.

Triggers (When This Occurs...)

Triggers define when the automation should run. You can choose from the following events:

  • Proposal has been sent

  • All contract(s) have been signed

  • First payment has been received

  • All contract(s) have been signed AND first payment has been received

  • Event stage updated to… (select a specific stage pipeline)

Once the selected trigger occurs, Curate will immediately run the associated action(s).

Actions (Automatically Do This...)

Actions define what happens after the trigger fires. Currently, automations support the following actions:

  • Update Event Stage to…
Automatically move the event to a new stage in your pipeline.

  • Send Email Notification
Send an email notification when the trigger occurs.

Notes

  • Emails sent through this action use a customizable Email template.

  • You can fully customize the subject line and utilize Personalized Tokens.

  • The recipient can be set to Project Customer, which refers to the customer assigned to the proposal for that event.

  • Remove expiration date from Event

This Action is available when using the Trigger "Event stage updated to..."

You can combine triggers and actions to fully automate common workflow steps.

Example Use Cases

Here are a few common ways teams use Automations:

  • Automatically move an event to Booked once all contracts are signed and the first payment is received

  • Send an internal email notification when a proposal is sent

  • Update an event stage when it reaches a specific milestone, without manual intervention

Tips for Best Results

  • Use clear automation names so your team understands what each one does

  • Start simple with one trigger and one action, then expand as needed

  • Double-check that automations are enabled after creating them
