This is a video walkthrough of how to get started on integrating your QuickBooks Online account with Curate! If you have any questions or run into an issue, please feel free to reach out to our Support staff!

Common Answers to User Questions:

  1. If you don't have the QBO integration showing within your settings, please reach out to us by chat and we can work on getting that setup for you!

  2. Information is only transferred to your QBO when invoices are synced by using the bulk sync function or by syncing an individual event as seen in the video above.

  3. Curate will only send payment details and invoice totals at the time of the sync. This is important as your customers pay directly through the software or if you manually mark payments, they will only sync to QBO at the time of sync.

  4. You are able to transfer payment information, customer information, invoices with line items, and tax information.

  5. Curate users are required to go to re-sync any proposals should change have occurred.

  6. Curate sends over the following information:

    1. Invoice date, payment information, line items, and prices.

    2. All of the line items with their names, quantity, and price (and whether they're taxable or not).

    3. All of the payments are synced (only the information, no actual payment processing being offloaded to QBO).

    4. Any convenience fees for completed payments are copied over as a single payment record in QBO.

    5. The tax rate (according to how it has been matched within Curate).

    6. Check to see if existing customer and update their information.

    7. New customer information.

    8. The Event Date is copied as the invoice date and the due date.

  7. Tax rates can be adjusted in the Settings page under the general tab within Curate.

  8. Previous synced proposals to QBO will attempt to be updated upon future sync.

  9. A new proposal in QBO will be created.

  10. If you're having trouble getting QBO to auto generate an invoice number after syncing, please navigate to Settings -> Your Company - Account and Settings -> Sales -> Locate and uncheck Customer transaction numbers. This feature disables the ability to auto generate invoice numbers when it's active. Turning this off will only impact NEW proposals being synced. Any Proposals synced in the past will require an invoice number to be added manually.
