This is a video walkthrough of how to get started on integrating your QuickBooks Online account with Curate! If you have any questions or run into an issue, please feel free to reach out to our Support staff!
Setup & Access
If you don’t see the QBO integration in your Settings, please reach out to us via chat and we’ll help get it set up.
Only events marked as Booked will sync.
How Syncing Works
Information is transferred to QBO only when invoices are synced—either through the Bulk Sync option or by syncing an individual event.
Curate sends payment details and invoice totals at the time of sync. Payments received afterward (or manually marked) will only sync the next time you run a sync.
If changes are made to a proposal, you’ll need to re-sync it for updates to appear in QBO.
Information Sent to QBO
Curate syncs the following details:
Invoices with line items, customer information, and tax information
Line items: names, quantities, prices, and tax status
Payments: details only (not actual processing)
Convenience fees for completed payments (recorded as a single payment in QBO)
Tax rates, matched according to your Curate settings
Customer information: updates existing records or creates new ones as needed
Event Date: copied as the invoice date and due date
Behavior During Sync
Previously synced proposals will update when re-synced.
New proposals will create a new invoice in QBO.
Troubleshooting Invoice Numbers
If invoices aren’t auto-generating numbers in QBO after syncing:
Go to Settings → Your Company → Account and Settings → Sales.
Locate and uncheck Customer transaction numbers.
When enabled, this prevents auto-generation of invoice numbers.
Turning it off will only affect new proposals being synced.
Past proposals will still require manual invoice numbers.
