Organising Your Albums

How to navigate, search, and manage your albums.

Written by Ash

Your images and videos are organised into albums. Albums help you group, find, and make ads faster.

Manage albums

You can rename, download, or delete an album at any time. To manage an album:

  1. Open the Albums page.

  2. Select the three-dot menu on the album.

  3. Choose Rename, Download, or Delete.

If the album contains other albums nested inside it, Download gives you a zip file with the nested albums preserved as folders, so the structure you built in Cuttable carries over to the download.

Create a new album

You can create albums whenever you need them. To create a new album:

  1. Select Add Album.

  2. Enter a name for the album.

  3. Upload images or videos, or add them later.

Tip: Create albums based on the type of ads you plan to make. For example, if you complete a new campaign photoshoot, create an album for that campaign, and upload all related assets.

Create an album for your brand elements (drawings, icons, graphics), then add them to ads from Media in the editor.

Nest albums inside other albums

You can create an album inside another album to keep related assets grouped together, for example nesting a folder for each product line inside one campaign album. To nest a new album inside an existing one:

  1. Open the album you want to nest a new album inside.

  2. Select Add Album and enter a name for the new, nested album.

To move an existing album, and everything inside it, into another album, select the three-dot menu on the album and choose Move to…, then choose the destination album.

In the editor, the Folders tab of the media picker shows this same nested structure, so you can drill into an album instead of scrolling through one long list of assets.

Search for assets

Use the search bar in the top right to find images and videos. Searching inside an album also covers everything nested under it, so you do not need to open each nested album separately to find an asset.

Search works on:

  • File names.

  • Automated descriptions and tags generated by Cuttable for each image and video.

View individual assets

Select any image or video to open the analysis panel.

The analysis panel includes:

  • AI-generated descriptions and tags.

  • Automatically extracted color palettes.

  • Available metadata, such as camera model, lens, author, and capture date.

Move assets between albums

This section covers moving individual images and videos between albums. To move an entire album, including everything nested inside it, see Nest albums inside other albums above.

You can move images and videos between albums at any time.

To move your images and videos:

  1. Open the album that contains the image/video.

  2. Hover over each image or video and select the checkbox to multi-select assets.

  3. Select Move.

  4. Choose the destination album from the list.

  5. Confirm the move.

The selected assets are removed from the original album and added to the new album.

FAQs

Where do I add brand elements, icons and drawings?
Add them to an album, then add them to your ads from the Media section in the editor. The Brand Kit holds logos, colours, fonts, backgrounds and End Frames. See How to Edit Your Ad in Cuttable for how to add media to an ad.
