Uploading Images & Videos

Add media files directly into your Cuttable library.

Written by Libby

Add media files directly into your Cuttable library to fuel your ad creation. An album keeps images and videos organised so you can easily use them across briefs and your ad campaigns.

💡Quick tip: To avoid issues during ad creation, only upload assets you intend to use in your ads, and make sure any videos do not contain any text.

Adding Assets to an Album

  • Open your album and select Upload to upload files.

  • You can drag-and-drop multiple images or videos at once.

  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, MP4, MOV (SVG for logos in Brand Kit).

  • Brand elements such as drawings and icons: upload them to an album, then add them to an ad from the Media section in the editor. The Brand Kit is for logos, colours, fonts and End Frames.

  • Maximum video file size: 100 MB.

Using album assets in your ads

Assets in your albums do not need to be linked to a product to be used in ads. You can select any image or video from your albums when writing a brief in Make Ads, or when replacing media in the ad editor. Linking an asset to a product is only required if you want that asset to be used automatically when you tag the product in a brief.

Image Processing

Once uploaded, Cuttable automatically processes your files:

  • Unprocessed → Media shows as pending until analysis completes.

  • Processed → Media is analyzed for objects, context, and metadata. This ensures the right visuals are suggested when you generate ads.

⚡ Processing may take a few minutes depending on file size and number of uploads.

Troubleshooting Upload Issues

If you encounter upload errors, consider these steps:

  • Verify file size and format: Ensure the video file is under 100 MB and in a supported format.

  • Retry upload: Attempt re-uploading, or try a different video file to identify file-specific issues.

  • Screenshot the error message you receive and send it to support@cuttable.com.
