Fine-tune your visuals by reframing key moments or features. Cropping helps highlight what matters most — whether it’s a product, expression, or message — and ensures your ad looks intentional and well-balanced across formats.

How to Use the Cropping Tool

Cropping can be used to emphasize an idea, an expression, a product feature, or simply grab attention in your ads. It helps your creative feel more balanced and focused — especially across different placements.

Cropping the Background Image

  1. After generating your ads, select the ad you want to edit.

  2. Click Edit this ad to open the ad editor.

  3. In the editor, select the Crop Tool in the bottom-left corner.

  4. Use the green bounding box to reposition the image or pull the edges to crop into different sections.

  5. Experiment with different crops to find what best fits your idea, layout, and text placement.

  6. Click Save Crop.

  7. Then click Save and Exit to confirm your changes.

Cropping an Image Within the Ad

If you’d like to crop a specific image element rather than the full background:

  1. Open the Images tab on the left-hand side of the editor.

  2. Hover over the image you want to crop.

  3. Click the green Crop icon that appears.

  4. Adjust the crop area as needed to refine focus or composition.

  5. Click Save to apply changes.

💡 Tip: Cropping closer can increase visual impact, while leaving more space helps balance text and product elements in your ad layout.
