Voiding a fault in Gearbelt is useful when an issue was reported by mistake, has already been addressed, or is no longer relevant. It helps keep your records accurate and prevents unnecessary repairs or follow-ups.

To void a fault, follow these steps:

1. Go into the 'Faults' section under 'Management' in the left-hand side navigation menu. Make sure the Status filter is off, or set to 'New' and 'Pending'. Select the fault you'd like to action

2. A pane will open on the right side of the screen, with all the fault details. There will be a 'Status' dropdown for you to update the fault status

3. Select 'Void' in the status dropdown. Press 'Save' to save your update

4. Once you've saved the status change, your fault will now appear with a 'Void' label in the Status column in the Register, so you still have a record of it

Note:

  • To view all your voided faults and generate a register, filter the Status column to 'Void'
