Deployment rules in Gearbelt automatically assign the appropriate form templates to specific assets, asset categories, asset manufacturers, and/or asset tags based on criteria you define. This ensures the correct forms are always linked to the right assets, without the need for manual assignment.

You can create multiple sets of rules to cover both your fleet and tools/equipment, allowing for more flexibility.

To create a deployment rule, follow these steps:

1. Access the 'Deployment' section under the 'Admin' section in the left-hand side navigation menu

2. Select 'Add Rule'

3. From there, you can name your rule and set the conditions. You can set conditions based on: Asset Type, Asset Category, Asset Manufacturer, Asset Model, Asset Location. You can add one condition, or multiple. To add multiple, select 'Add Condition'

4. Select which form template will be used for: Inspection Forms, Repair Forms, Schedule Forms

5. Once you're done, click 'Save Changes'. Any asset that meets the set conditions will automatically have the assigned form templates when an operator creates a new form

Note:

  • To add more rules, click 'Add Condition'

  • You can add rules based on:

    • Asset Type

    • Asset Manufacturer

    • Asset Model

    • Asset Tag

    • Asset Location

  • You can add multiple form templates to be deployed based on your rules
