To speed up the creation of forms in Dashpivot, you can upload a CSV file to generate multiple forms with pre-populated fields, rather than creating them individually.
To bulk create forms, follow these steps:
1. Go into a Team folder, access 'All Templates'
2. Select a template in your Team folder
3. Click 'Bulk Create'
4. Click Download CSV template to see which fields can be filled in via CSV
5. Prepare your CSV file with correct formatting. Each row in your CSV will create one form

File requirements:
When preparing your CSV file to upload, ensure it meets these requirements:
File size: Maximum 5MB
File format: Must be a CSV file (.csv only)
Header row: Must include a header row with column names that match field names in your form exactly
Unique column names: All column headers must be unique - no duplicates allowed
Supported field types:
Currently, forms with these field types can be bulk created:
Single Line Text
Single Date (Plain)
Single Date (Timezone Aware)
Expiry Date (Timezone Aware)
Note: Only forms with the supported field types listed above can be bulk created. Any fields inside logic fields are not supported
Formatting requirements
Single Line Text:
Alphanumerical characters only
Maximum 1,000 characters per field
Example: "Transformer Unit 001"
Date fields (Single Date, Expiry Date):
Format: DD/MM/YYYY
Example: 29/02/2024
Note: In Excel, go to Format Cells > Number and select correct formatting
Pro Tips:
Test with a small batch first: Try uploading 5-10 forms initially to ensure your CSV formatting is correct
Removing data: To remove data from a CSV row, Delete the entire row. Using Clear contents will NOT remove the row from upload
Tables not supported: Default tables and Prefilled tables cannot be populated via CSV upload. Single Text and Single Date fields within tables will not be filled in during bulk creation
Required fields: If you have a Timeline template that has required fields not supported by bulk create, you'll need to update those fields to unrequired
Empty cells: Empty cells will result in blank fields in the created forms
Existing forms: Existing forms will not be affected. Only new forms are created
