Updating Check/Checkbox Fields to Pass/Fail in Gearbelt

What’s changing and why:

We're phasing out the old Check and Checkbox fields in Gearbelt. These will be replaced with the new Pass/Fail (or Pass/Fail/NA) fields.

This change makes forms simpler and prepares them for upcoming improvements like offline mode in the Sitemate Mobile App.

On Monday September 29, 2025, we'll automatically migrate the following fields:

For most customers, no action is required and all historical records will be maintained.

What happens to my historical data?
All historical records will be preserved.
What if I used custom labels (e.g. “OK / Fix / Needs review”)?
These will be converted to standard Pass/Fail/NA values. This means you may need to reword some of your check questions so they make sense with the new field type. If you’d like help restructuring your forms, please reach out to our Customer Success team.
