What is the Photos section in Dashpivot?

The Photos section in Dashpivot gives your teams a simple way to capture and organise all project photos and videos in one place, without relying on personal devices, email threads, or shared drives.

Photos captured through Dashpivot automatically record:

  • Who took the photo

  • When it was taken (date and time)

  • Where it was taken (GPS location)

  • Visual annotations and photo stamps added at the point of capture

  • Any notes, comments, or tags added by the user

This creates a reliable, searchable visual record of whatโ€™s happening on site as it happens.

Who the Photos section is for

  • Site teams can quickly capture progress, issues, or conditions directly from the mobile app, even when offline.

  • Project managers get real-time visibility across sites without needing to travel.

  • Management and compliance teams can rely on a structured, time-stamped photo record for audits, claims, or reviews.

This short overview video explains how the Photos section works, how photos are organised, and how to find what you need later using filters and tags.

How photos are organised and found

Photos are automatically organised chronologically by day, creating a clear visual timeline of your project.

To help you find specific photos later, Dashpivot supports:

  • Filtering by date range

  • Filtering by the person who captured the photo

  • Searching notes and comments

  • Tagging photos with custom tags (such as safety, quality, zones, work types, or progress)

Multiple filters can be combined to quickly narrow thousands of photos down to exactly what youโ€™re looking for.

Working offline with photos

When working offline, photos captured in the Dashpivot mobile app are automatically saved as local drafts on the device.

This means:

  • Photos and progress are never lost

  • Users can continue capturing images without connectivity

  • Photos will automatically upload and sync once the device is back online

This makes Dashpivot reliable for remote sites, underground works, or areas with poor reception.
