Dashpivot Updates
👥 Visitor Users
In this update, we're introducing 'Dashpivot Visitor Users' which are a new user type designed to allow external users to access your Dashpivot workspace. Adding visitors works the same way as adding contributors (via email address), and the same permission controls are available, except visitor email domains must not match the internal domain of your workspace, and cannot be a non-business email eg. gmail.com.
🔢 New Formula Bar
When you click into a formula cell, a bar now appears at the top of the template editor where you can write out your formula. The added space makes it easier to write long formulas, and is similar to excel, where writing the formula at the top updates the cell at the same time.
The bar is fixed to the top of the screen, so if you need to scroll down the screen to find specific cell references in a table, you won't lose sight of the formula as you go. This will be extra useful when the upcoming formulas update to reference multiple tables becomes available!
🔄 Sync Bar in the Dashpivot App
The Dashpivot app now instantly checks for new changes when you first open the app, and then every 15 seconds thereafter. The new bar at the top of the screen shows you when the app is checking for changes, or downloading the latest data.
🎨 List Colour Updates
You can now assign colours to items in dropdown menus the same way you can for multiple choice lists, provided the lists are manually typed (not linked to a list). There is also a new 'none' colour which shows up with no coloured background in form PDF exports.
Flowsite Updates
📅 Pay period field no longer required
When Flowsite creates timesheets in Xero automatically based on timesheets filled out in Dashpivot, it no longer requires a date range field to be included on the Dashpivot template for the 'pay period' of the timesheet.
Instead, Flowsite now detects which pay period to use based on the dates entered in each table row alongside the hours, so there's less fields your employees need to fill out.
