Exporting ePRO records lets you analyse participant answers, run data checks, or prepare an interim analysis at any point in your study. This article covers how to export, and what the file contains.
đ Prerequisite: ePRO Records List (Export)
Export your records
đ ď¸ Step by step guide
Navigate to ePRO records under your study
Select Export Data
Choose your export format
Select whether to export by Labels or by Values. This changes how the data is structured in the file
If your forms include file uploads such as images or PDFs, choose Yes or No to include the attachments. A variable dictionary is included either way
Select Export and wait for the file to be generated
đĄ Tip: for a large export you can close the window and come back later. The file stays available under the History tab.
Download a previous export again
đ ď¸ Step by step guide
Go to ePRO records or ePRO forms
Select Export Data
Open the History tab
Find the export you want and select Download
What the file contains
The export is made of several sheets:
Sheet | What it holds |
ePRO list | All published ePRO forms in the study, with global and per-form compliance rates. |
ePRO compliance | Completion broken down subject by subject. |
ePRO record list | Every ePRO record, as shown in the records dashboard. |
(n) ePRO records | One sheet per published form, with one row per record and one column per question. |
(n) Option value | A reference table mapping option labels to their values, for choice questions. |
Sheets are numbered in the order of your ePRO forms: ePRO 1, ePRO 2, and so on.
How to read the cells
Empty cell | The question was visible but the subject did not answer it. |
| The question was never shown to that subject, because conditional logic hid it. |
â ď¸ Warning: archived records are excluded from exports. If a record is missing from the file, check whether it has been archived before looking anywhere else.
