None of these commands need a “start” word. You can use them at any point while charting.
Repeat
Pocket depths only.
Structure: say the measurements, then “repeat” and how many times.
Examples: “2, 1, 2, repeat 5 times”, “5, 4, 6, repeat 10 times”
Sextants and quadrants
Bleeding and suppuration can be charted by sextant or quadrant.
Structure: “Bleeding on quadrant [#]”, “Bleeding on sextant [#]”, “Suppuration on quadrant [#]”, “Suppuration on sextant [#]”
Examples: “Bleeding on quadrant 1”, “Suppuration on sextant 4”
Furcation
Structure: “Furcation on [tooth #] grade [grade level]”
Examples: “Furcation on tooth number 3 grade 2”, “Furcation on tooth number 14 grade 3”
Suppuration
Structure: “Suppuration on [tooth number] [surfaces]”
Examples: “Suppuration on tooth number 3 all facial”, “Suppuration on tooth number 8 mesial distal lingual”
Mobility
Structure: “Mobility on [tooth #] grade [#]” or “class [#]”. Bola recognizes both “grade” and “class”.
Examples: “Mobility on tooth number 9 grade 2”, “Mobility on tooth number 10 class 3”
