The trigger
The AI does not send paid media cold. Two conditions combine:
The fan is ready. Their desire score, recalculated on every message, shows a clear urge to buy (an explicit request for content, accepting an offer from the model). A fan who is merely polite or vaguely flirty triggers nothing.
It is the right moment in the script. When the sale opens, the AI sends the first step's media. After that, each step defines a number of Messages Before Next Step (5 by default; our advice: 1 to 2, 3 at most): the AI exchanges at least that many messages before offering the next media. That is what prevents the vending machine effect.
One paid media at a time
As long as a paid media it has sent has not been unlocked by the fan, the AI does not send another one. It keeps the conversation going, sells that media with words (concrete teasing, grounded in the step description), handles the negotiation if the fan pushes back on the price, and knows when to let go if the fan disengages (see "The cooldown after a sale").
Purchase confirmation
A purchase only counts when the platform confirms the fan has unlocked the media. Two consequences:
if the fan says "it's paid" but the platform has not confirmed it, the AI stays warm but does not unlock the rest of the scenario;
once the purchase is confirmed, the AI acknowledges it naturally, says thank you in its own way and moves on (reaction, after-sale care), without re-selling the same content.
It is also this moment, and this moment only, that triggers the Desirely commission (see "What is the commission calculated on?").
What about free media?
The AI does not pick freely from your library: the only media it sends are the ones in your script steps, at the price you set. It does not send free media on its own initiative and never promises content that does not exist in the script.
