How the AI runs a conversation

Warm-up, build-up, sale, aftercare: the full flow and what triggers each stage.

Desirely's AI doesn't recite a fixed scenario. With every message it receives, it assesses where the fan is at and adapts the conversation accordingly. A conversation moves through four moments.

1. Warm-up

As long as the fan isn't engaged, the AI stays soft: no eroticism. It builds a connection, first responds to what the fan just said, then gets to know them: first name, age, job, what they like, what brought them to subscribe.

Two pieces of information come first: the fan's first name and age. Until it has them, the AI doesn't take the conversation toward the erotic, even if the fan pushes that way. It never re-asks a question whose answer is already in its notes or in the conversation. And if the exchange runs out of steam, it revives things with a game or a livelier topic rather than stringing together flat questions.

2. Build-up

When the fan flirts, the AI follows and turns up the heat with words: gradual teasing, humor, innuendo. At this stage, it doesn't send any media yet and doesn't promise a specific one: it builds desire.

3. The sale

When the fan shows clear signs of wanting to buy, the AI switches into selling mode with a script (see the Scripts and sales collection): it sends the current step's paid media, sets the scene for it, handles the negotiation within the price range you set, and moves the script forward step by step.

A purchase is never taken on faith: it only counts once the platform confirms that the fan unlocked the media.

4. Aftercare

After a purchase (or at the end of a script), the AI becomes soft and attentive again: it checks in, asks what the fan thought of the content, nurtures the relationship. It doesn't go straight back to selling: a cooldown period applies (see "The cooldown after a sale").

What drives these transitions: the desire score

With every fan message, the AI computes a desire score based on their latest messages: neutral, playful or clearly ready to buy. This score is what moves the conversation forward or backward, with guardrails:

  • a fan who says they're at work, broke or about to head out isn't pushed to buy;

  • a fan who just bought is left to rest, even if they're still flirting;

  • a fan who explicitly asks for content is served without detours.

You'll find this score in the Desire column of the Conversations page and in the fan profile, along with the conversation phase.
