Cancel Subscription

Before You Cancel

We understand that sometimes plans change. Canceling your Dezygn subscription is straightforward through your Stripe billing portal, and you can do it anytime.

The bottom line: Two clicks and you're canceled. No phone calls, no retention specialists, no hassle.

Note: This guide is for recurring subscriptions only. Legacy Special upgrade customers don't have subscriptions to cancel (it was a one-time payment).

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Step 1: Access Billing Portal

  1. Click "Manage Billing"

  2. You'll be redirected to your Stripe portal

Step 2: Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Look for your current subscription in the portal

  2. Click "Cancel subscription" or similar option

  3. Confirm the cancellation when prompted

  4. You'll receive a confirmation email

That's it. No complicated forms, no waiting periods, no questions asked.

What Happens After You Cancel

Immediate Effects

  • Subscription marked as canceled - You won't be charged again

  • Current period continues - You keep access until your billing period ends

  • Confirmation email sent - You'll get proof of cancellation

During Your Final Billing Period

  • Full access continues - All features remain available

  • Credits still work - Use any remaining credits

  • Download your work - Save any important projects

After Your Subscription Ends

  • No more charges - Your card won't be charged again

  • Account becomes inactive - You lose access to paid features

  • Data preservation - Your account and projects are saved

Cancellation Timing

When Your Subscription Ends

Freelancer/Agency plans: Access continues until the end of your current billing cycle Example: If you cancel on January 15th but your billing date is January 30th, you keep access until January 30th

No Refunds for Partial Periods

Cancellation doesn't trigger automatic refunds for unused time.

What You Keep vs What You Lose

βœ… What You Keep

  • Account access - You can still log in

  • Project history - All your previous work remains

  • Legacy benefits - If you're a legacy user, those continue

  • Basic features - Limited access to core platform

❌ What You Lose

  • Monthly credit allocation - No more subscription credits

  • Premium features - Studio, advanced editing, etc.

  • Priority support - Back to standard support

  • Team features - Collaboration tools disabled

Common Cancellation Scenarios

"I want to take a break but come back later"

Perfect. Cancel now, and you can resubscribe anytime. Your account and projects will be waiting.

"I only need Dezygn occasionally"

Consider switching to one-time credit packs instead of canceling. You can buy credits as needed without a monthly commitment.

"The cost is too high"

If budget is the issue, we might have solutions like pausing your subscription or switching to a lower plan.

"I'm not using all my credits"

You might want to downgrade instead of canceling. Contact support to discuss plan changes.

Reactivating Later

How to Restart Your Subscription

  1. Log back into your account

  2. Go to Settings β†’ Plan & Credits

  3. Choose a new plan

  4. Your previous settings and projects will be restored

What Carries Over

  • All your previous projects and brands

  • Account preferences and settings

  • Any legacy user benefits

  • Your work history and invoices

Alternative Options

Before You Cancel, Consider:

Pause instead of cancel - Contact support about temporarily suspending your account Downgrade to Freelancer - If Agency is too much, try a smaller plan One-time credits - Buy credits only when you need them Legacy benefits - Keep your legacy credits if you're a legacy user

Troubleshooting Cancellation

"I don't see a cancel option"

  • Make sure you're in the Stripe portal, not just Dezygn settings

  • Look for "Manage subscription" or similar in the portal

  • Try refreshing the page or using a different browser

"Cancellation didn't work"

  • Check your email for a confirmation

  • Verify in your Stripe portal that the subscription shows as canceled

  • Contact support if you're still being charged

"I was charged after canceling"

If you were charged after canceling, this might be:

  • A final charge for the current billing period (normal)

  • A processing delay (charges can take 1-2 business days to appear)

  • An error that needs support attention
