The 5013 "No remaining activations" error occurs when you attempt to activate a Fire Studio license that has already been activated. This indicates that the software was initially activated on a different computer. If you encounter the error on the same computer where it was originally installed, it suggests that something has occurred to remove or deactivate the license. This could include a Windows operating system update or a hard drive re-imaging (usually performed by an IT department without the end-user’s knowledge).

If you have a different computer where Fire Studio was previously installed, the simplest solution to the 5013 error is to deactivate the software on the old computer and then activate it on the new computer.

If your current computer has become deactivated, or if you don’t have access to the old computer, you’ll need to contact Digital Combustion at support@digitalcombustion.com and request a license reset. We’ll require your name, department name, and license ID if possible. Once we have this information, we can reset your license, and you’ll be able to activate it on the new computer. If your original computer has become deactivated, this process will allow you to activate your software without receiving the 5013 error.
